| Abstract: | Geometrically nonlinear free vibration behaviour of laminated composite cylindrical panel in
thermal environment is analysed. The mid-plane kinematics is based on the higher order shear deformation theory and the geometric nonlinearity is introduced in the strain displacement relation using Green-Lagrange type nonlinearity. The sets of governing equations are obtained using Hamilton’s principle and discretised using
a nonlinear finite element approach. The results obtained using the proposed model is compared with
those available in open literature. |
