Abstract: This paper introduces a compact dual-band shared radiator full-duplex (DB-SRFD) micro-strip antenna engineered for simultaneous in-band transmission and reception. The antenna is designed to operate at two distinct frequencies, 5.9 GHz and 7.65 GHz addressing V2X communication and emerging midband 6G application, respectively. To enhance isolation between the transmit and receive ports, a combination of metallic vias and modified L-shaped stubs is incorporated into the shared radiator structure. Full-wave simulations validate the antenna’s performance, achieving impedance matching of approximately –20 dB at both resonant frequencies. Peak inter-port isolation of 20 dB at 5.9 GHz and 86 dB at 7.65 GHz is observed. Additionally, the antenna provides peak gain of 5.86 dB and 4.86 dB at 5.9 GHz and 7.65 GHz, respectively, having an overall footprint of 0.88λ20 (where λ0 denotes the free-space wavelength at 5.9 GHz), demonstrating its effectiveness for compact full-duplex systems requiring dual-band operation with high isolation.
