Abstract: Nowadays, high frequency dc-dc converters are extensively used in numerous power electronic applications. The bulk of passive components such as power transformers, capacitors and inductors must be shrunk when operating at high frequencies at turn-on and turn-off, standard hardswitching topologies increase transistor switching losses at higher frequencies. If the switching frequency is greater than 5 kHz, 1-15MW high-voltage converters will have severe switching losses. Soft-switched topologies have been researched to get large-frequency operation with modest switching losses. In this paper, a novel state-space averaging (SSA) technique based on half-cycle symmetry is proposed. Additionally, several types of compensators based on small signal transfer functions are built, and simulation results are shown and compared for performance analysis
