Abstract: In this work, a brief explanation on the structural and magnetic features of 0.9YBaCuFeO5-0.1La0.85Sr0.15MnO3 is bestowed. Rietveld refinement of XRD pattern confirmed the phase purity of the parent samples and composite. Strain creation in the system is quantified through Williamson-Hall (W-H) Plot. Effective strain in the composite specifies a possible deformation of incommensurate magnetic phase of YBCFO. Temperature dependent Zero Field Cooled (ZFC) and Field cooled (FC) magnetization data of composite is shown to be bifurcated around 200 K, representing probable competitive interaction between the anti-ferromagnetic based YBaCuFeO5 (YBCFO) and ferromagnetic La0.85Sr0.15MnO3 (LSMO) interface. Ferromagnetic dominance of LSMO on YBCFO is also noticed through isothermal M-H plots at 10 K, 180 K and 300 K.
