Telecare Medicine Information Systems (TMIS) is crucial for providing reliable medical facility to patients in remote locations. It acts as an interface between patients and doctors to have medical services through resource constraint devices. Due to wide availability of Internet, accessing the remote medical servers can provide various resources to the patients. We proposed an mutual authentication system for TMIS based upon cloud. The security analysis of the scheme is made rigorously and it is proven that the proposed protocol can withstand major attacks, such as, replay attack, and also preserves user anonymity. The in depth analysis of the proposed scheme also shows that proposed scheme is both computationally efficient and have low communication overhead as compared to competent schemes. Hence, the proposed protocol can be applicable to providing medical facility to patients in remote locations with minimal resources.en_US
