A model was developed to predict the moisture content and mechanical properties of fiber-reinforced plastic composites. This was compared with the fickian model of diffusion and the cause of deviations was looked into. The degradation of residual properties due to moisture absorption has been predicted taking into consideration the empirical formula. The validity of these precitions depends on all degradation processes being simple function of absorbed water contenten
