dc.description.abstractWe deal with distributed networks, estimating the parameters using diffusion strategies. In the combination stage of diffusion strategy, each node combines their intermediate estimates with the closed neighborhood nodes. This requires a large amount of communication between nodes to transmit and receive intermediate estimate vector. In this article, an efficient algorithm to reduce communication overload between nodes is proposed in which each sensor node transmits only a subset of entries of the intermediate estimated vector. The reduced algorithm has been managed to reduce communication overhead at the same time retaining the benefits of cooperation. The simulation results convey the reduction of communication between the nodes via a suitable compromise between performance and communication cost of the estimation.en_US
