Abstract: Getting quick response in mobile cloud computing is a newly developing area for research. Delay increases when the user requests (tasks) execute in the cloud environment instead of the mobile device, and it affects the quality of service also. So, cloudlet was introduced to execute the maximum number of tasks that provides the same infrastructure like cloud computing system. We have proposed an algorithm in this paper to optimize the execution delay of mobile applications. To get revolved from selecting same Virtual Machines from the data center, we use selection procedure as Best fit policy. In the proposed technique, if the specified data center (cloudlet) couldn’t provide enough resources, then only the user request will be sent to the cloud system. As a result, it clearly showed in the simulation results that the execution time for each task had decreased after using cloudlet
