Abstract: We note that the propagation of light in a coupled system of waveguides has been studied extensively and the applications of such systems in the field of integrated optics are well known.Moreover, it is also recognized that array of classical waveguides are suitable structures for realizing a number of quantum effects For example, Bloch oscillations have been investigated in coupled waveguides using coherent beam of light.
