This article presents a performance comparision between two converters, dual active bridge (DAB) conventional converter and series resonant DAB converter(DAB-SRC) for electric vechicle charging station application. The DAB resonant converter as compared to conventional converter topology widely explored by virtue of its increase in efficiency, reduction in size, and improvement in reliability. This article outlines a comparative analysis of the conventional DAB to the DAB-SRC converter at same power rating, focusing on current and voltage stresses, res-onant inductance and capacitance requirement, and the resulting inductor size. For the same power rating, optimum performance of DAB and DAB-SRC is carried out. The study emphasizes on converter design considering output power range of( 10-30)kW, with fixed input DC-link as 600 V, and desired output of 800 V.en_US
