dc.description.abstract | The necessity of having a generalized correlation for the prediction of the pressure drop across a semifluidized bed is stressed. Pressure drops across the semi-fluidized bed have been calculated using various theoretical equations and 'have been compared with the experimental values. For the first time, two different equations, one for spherical particles and the other for non-spherical ones, have been suggested for the prediction of the actual pressure drop in terms of the system variables. | en |
