| Abstract: | This paper presents a comparative study of different control strategies applied to a DC–DC Luo converter to enhance its voltage regulation performance. The controllers investigated include PID, Type II, Type III, and Internal Model Control (IMC). Each control technique is examined under varying input voltages and load conditions to evaluate its ability to maintain stable output voltage and improve converter dynamics. The results indicate that all control methods effectively intensify the converter’s performance; however, the IMC controller demonstrates superior behavior, providing a faster transient response, reduced overshoot, and excellent steady-state accuracy compared to the other controllers. |
