dc.description.abstract | Robust control of a decoupled induction motor drive is attempted in this paper. Sliding Mode Controller and Fuzzy Sliding Mode Controller are designed for the speed loop of the drive. The design steps for both the controllers are laid down clearly. Only four fuzzy rules, and Center-of-Sums defuzzification technique are used in the fuzzy controller for simplicity reasons. The performance of the fuzzy sliding mode controller has been evaluated, through simulation studies, with respect to the sliding mode controller in order to establish its suitability for induction motor drive. | en |
