Abstract: | An attempt has becR made in the ~ w Rwto tk to improve the dynamic and steady state performances of the vector controlled induction motor (IM) drives. Input-output linearization and decoupling technique based on the concepts of differential geometry, hru been used to decouple the speed, or torque from nux. Optimal proportid-mtegd (P-I) controllers in flux and speed loops are designed to obtain desired dynamic and steady state responses. A new rotor nux observer has been designed to estimate the nux at all speeds.Simulation results show that the performance of the drive system with the designed controller is comparable to that with vector controller and the proposed drive system is more flexible. |
