Abstract: | This paper proposes a nonlinear mathematical model to describe the dynamics of COVID-19 with vaccination. The population has been divided into six compartments, i.e., susceptible, vaccinated with the first dose, vaccinated with the second dose, asymptomatic, infected, and recovered. The name of the model has been given SVAIR (susceptible-vaccinated-asymptomatic-infected-recovered). The effective reproduction number is calculated, and its significance in epidemiology is discussed. The proposed model focuses on the impact of vaccination in reducing the effective reproduction number. |
