dc.description.abstract | Refractories are indispensable high-end composites; without these, no one can produce a single drop of steel to meet the 2.1 billion-ton demand globally. Continuous improvement seeks to alter steel chemistry, processing, and properties to serve society better and meet evolving refractory specifications. The steel sector has fixed different strategies to receive quality refractories. Thus, several factors are essential to consider in refractory design and failure analysis. Eventually, the necessity of such specifications and their relevance in achieving consistent refractory performance is highlighted in Figure 1 | en_US |
