dc.description.abstract | This study investigates the potential of incorporating industrial waste materials into concrete pavement as a sustainable solution to address both environmental concerns and enhance the performance of construction materials. The focus is on utilizing industrial by-products, such as fly ash, bottom ash, blast-furnace slag, copper slag and recycled concrete aggregate as partial or complete replacements for traditional cement and natural aggregates in concrete mixtures. The project explores the effects of incorporating varying proportions of industrial waste on the mechanical properties, durability, and environmental impact of concrete pavement. Experimental investigations include comprehensive testing of the fresh and hardened concrete, assessing parameters such as compressive strength, flexural strength and abrasion resistance. Incorporation of GGBS along with fly ash and cement as binder shown appreciable results. | en_US |
