Abstract: In this paper, we have discussed some necessary and sufficient conditions for dual frames formed by shift invariant systems which are also Bessel sequences. Further, explicit expression for Walnut operator associated with window function of Gabor frames in local fields of positive characteristics is given. Also properties of Gabor frames over irregular lattices in local fields of positive characteristics are discussed.
