Abstract: An innovative setup and methodology were introduced to assess insulation panel performance and precisely determine thermal diffusivity. This method entails placing a specimen on the surface of a container filled with boiling water, which is positioned on an induction heater. This arrangement facilitates the simultaneous recording of both transient and equilibrium temperature responses. The study highlights the potential of synergizing steady and unsteady temperature characteristics by amalgamating extensive experimental observations with numerical and analytical analyses conducted over an extended time frame. Importantly, our approach eliminates the necessity for prior parameter estimation, allowing us to derive essential information, such as thermal diffusivity, exclusively from the temperature responses to input stimuli
