This article describes a metamaterial-based Kuband microwave absorber. On top of the substrate, there are metallic patterns with sheet resistance. The geometry parameters have been tuned to achieve an absorption level of over 90% in the 10.02-18.02 GHz frequency range. Also, the design has two absorption peaks with more than 90% absorption at 11.24 GHz and 15.97 GHz. Examining the design electric field and surface current profile helps to explain the absorption processen_US
