Abstract: | The main aim of this study is to synthesize nanocomposite-based material for wound healing applications. A hydrothermal method is used for the synthesis of reduced graphene oxide/titanium oxide nanocomposite. Titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TNPs) are first synthesized by the sol-gel method, and then the improved hummer’s method is used for the graphene oxide synthesis. The thermal reduction process is utilized to create reduced GO (rGO). The hexagonal structure of rGO and the nanocrystalline anatase form of TNPs are revealed by X-ray diffraction. The characteristics peak of Ti-O-Ti bonds is observed between 400 to 850 cm-1 in the Fourier transforms infrared spectrum. The peak at 1569 cm-1 is recorded, which reveals the reduction in the oxygen functional group in the rGO. The Raman spectra of nanocomposite material show the peaks at 1349 cm-1 correlate to the D bands and peaks at 1597 cm-1 correlate to the G bands. The wound healing properties of nanocomposite material are then examined. The in-vitro result of the scratch assay shows that the combination of rGO/TNPs nanocomposite provides the potential to increase cell proliferation and migration for wound healing. |
