Abstract: | CO2 capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) has been recognized as a useful method for mitigating climate change caused by fossil fuel consumption. The cryogenic carbon capture process is one of the emerging methods due to its advantages. In the present study, the cryogenic distillation CO2 separation process is developed by using Aspen Plus. Also, the sensitivity analysis of the distillation column is carried out. Further, the process is optimized based on the results obtained from the sensitivity analysis to achieve a low energy penalty. |
