dc.description.abstractIn this paper, the authors investigated stochastic comparisons of the series and parallel systems under the assumption that the component lifetimes have independent heterogeneous power-Lomax distributions. The comparisons are established based on the hazard rate ordering, reversed hazard rate ordering and likelihood ratio ordering. Several examples are presented to illustrate the established results.en_US
