Abstract: | Fly ash epoxy composite has been developed in ultrasonic mixing method with the aim of reducing the impact of hazardous waste like fly ash on the environment. Post curing has been done in micro oven to modify the surface so as to have better wear resistance properties. An orthogonal array, L32 has been designed with the influencing parameters like % fly ash, applied normal load, speed, track diameter and time of operation. A multi objective parametric condition, TOPSIS is used to convert it into a single objective optimization technique and ANOVA helps in getting the percentage contribution of each parameter for the wear of the material. In general, this article emphasizes the importance of micro oven treatment on the surface modification of polymeric material which retards the wear. |
