Cobalt ferrite nanoparticles are prepared by sol-gel combustion method using different fuels such as glycine and ethylene glycol. From the XRD data it is conformed that cobalt ferrite single phase was formed. By using scherrer formula, the average crystalline size has been estimated to be 49.25 and 31.64 nm for glycine and ethylene glycol respectively. The UV spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy and dielectric measurement have been employed for studying optical and dielectric properties.en
