| Abstract: | Entropy generation in a counterflow heat exchanger has been analysed in detail and expressions have been derived in terms of relevant non dimensional parameters. In the case of nearly ideal heat exchangers with nearly balanced capacity rate, an expression for entropy production has been derived which matches closely with exact calculation. |
