Development of polymer-based scaffolds incorporating phytomolecules is crucial for enhancing the osteogenic properties of polymeric bone substitutes. In this study, novel 3D printed scaffolds composed of sodium alginate (SA) and chitosan (CH), loaded with Cissus quadrangularis (CQ) seed extract, were successfully fabricated, and their morphology was characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Incorporation of CQ extract in SA/CH scaffold improved the hydrophilicity and biodegradat...

Spin Reorientation Induced Exchange Bias and Dielectric Relaxation Behaviour in Sm-substituted YCrO3

This study presents an unravelling intricate magnetic behaviour involving spin reorientation (SR) and exchange bias (EB) along with dielectric relaxation behaviour in polycrystalline Y1-xSmxCrO3 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.3) compounds. The X-ray diffraction spectra reveal the phase purity of compounds, which are crystallized through distorted orthorhombic structures (Pnma space group). Surface morphology confirms that Sm doping decreases average grain size from 0.43 to 0.35 µm. The temperature-dependent magn...

Novel Quantum State at The Interface Between Graphene and Low Density Superconductor

Two-dimensional (2D) materials have attracted vast research interest since the breakthrough discovery of graphene. One major benefit of such systems is the ability to tune the Fermi level through the charge neutrality point between electron and hole doping. In this presentation, we show that single layer graphene coupled to the low-density superconductor indium oxide (InO) exhibits two charge neutrality points, each of them representing electronic regions in which the carrier density can be t...

“Cherished Souvenirs”: Evocative Objects and Material Memory in Select Indian Memoirs on Alzheimer’s

The conception of objects as enclosed, discrete, and immanent material has been historically challenged by the theoretical frameworks of Post-Humanist thinkers and Material Cultural theorists, who have foregrounded the historical, affective, socio-political, and cultural embeddedness of objects. The material turn in Memory Studies, examining evocative objects or material possessions, is essentially limited to studies on Partition, indentured labour, refugee narratives, and culinary identities...

Deciphering Atrial Repolarization Morphology: A Spline Interpolation Framework for Atrial Arrhythmia Diagnosis

The characterization of atrial repolarization (Ta wave) remains largely elusive due to its inherently low amplitude and concealment beneath the dominant QRS complex. Hence, this study aims to witness Ta wave within QRS complex using spline interpolation framework. 10-second ECGs of 50 Sinus Tachycardia (SiT) and 20 Atrial Tachycardia (AT) were recorded using standard 12-lead. Lead-II signals were pre-processed for noise removal and fiducial points detection. Later, three spline models were us...

Effects of Boron-based Additives on LiTFSI based Mixed Electrolytes

Rechargeable Li-ion batteries are essential for modern society by enabling portable electronics, electric vehicles, and renewable energy storage. As a main component, electrolytes play a pivotal role in the operation and performance of Li-ion batteries by enabling the transport of Li-ions between the anode and cathode during charge and discharge cycles. An ideal electrolyte must exhibit high ionic conductivity, wide electrochemical stability, and compatibility with electrode materials. By com...

‘Sites of Memory’ as Feminist Resistance: Domestic and Religious Spaces in Anuradha Roy’s Fiction

While history often relies on a pretence of objectivity, what is remembered as history is woven tightly with selected remembrance. In Anuradha Roy’s fiction, memory is more than remembering—it takes place as a memory-site, a site of women’s muted memories where repressed experiences have been recalled, resisted, and re-invented. This paper examines An Atlas of Impossible Longing (2008) and Sleeping on Jupiter (2015), positing that domestic and religious spaces function as archives worthy of b...

Protective Role of Glucose in Alcohol-Stressed Phospholipid Membranes: An MD Simulation Approach

Lipid bilayers, the fundamental components of biological cell membranes, are known to be stabilized and functionally preserved in the presence of certain small saccharides-under various environmental stresses. In contrast, short-chain aliphatic alcohols are well-documented for their disruptive effects on membrane structure. Their interaction with lipid bilayers often leads to increased permeability, uncontrolled solute transport, and leakage of essential cofactors. While lipid-saccharide inte...

Mining, Precarity, and Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups: A Case of Paudi Bhuyan Residing in Kurmitar Iron Ore Mines of Odisha, India

Mining enclaves inhabited by Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) in Odisha display the dynamic of exclusionary development that creates spaces of relentless accumulation alongside precarity. There is a need to make sense of the mineral-based development strategy, which is constituted by and constitutive of spatialisation of tribal precarity. It is also essential to examine how the mining-affected PVTGs exercise the agency to deal with precarity. Extant Indian literature does not spe...

A Characterization of k−Generalized Fibonacci Numbers as Concatenations and Differences of repdigits

The k-Generalized Fibonacci sequence is a generalization of the classic Fibonacci sequence with some fixed integer k ≥ 2. In this paper, we identify all k-Generalized Fibonacci numbers which can be represented as concatenation of three repdigits. This work builds upon and extends the previous research by Erduvan and Keskin, who identified all the Fibonacci numbers with this property. Using the former result we explore all the k−Generalized Fibonacci numbers, which can be expressed as the diff...
